GIVINGTUESDAY 2025 - UNITED WAY OF MARQUETTE COUNTY

This GivingTuesday, join us in strengthening every corner of Marquette County - feeding families, keeping homes warm, supporting mental health, and ensuring no one is left behind. It takes more than a meal to build a thriving community.

This GivingTuesday, United Way of Marquette County is rallying our entire community to strengthen every corner of Marquette County — ensuring that families have access not only to food, but to the full range of supports that sustain dignity, stability, and well-being. Our message is clear: “It takes more than a meal to build a thriving community.”

Thank you to everyone who participated in our early giving campaign!

Our community stepped up early because needs can’t wait — and we continue that momentum through GivingTuesday.

Beyond the Food Pantry

As Campaign Co-Chair Jesse Renfors explains, “The fact that we oversee 26 different agencies gives us a different vantage point. We’re able to see where some of these holes are and where we can plug some of these holes.”

While many resources this season are flowing toward food insecurity, United Way has a broader vantage point. We see that behind every meal served are families also facing challenges with housing, childcare, transportation, healthcare, mental health, and senior care.

Why Community Needs Can’t Wait

“We’re going to get a jump start on it as well,” explains Co-Chair Jesse Renfors. “We can’t wait around. That’s valuable time and we need to get people on their feet.” Our early campaign helped us begin meeting urgent needs, and through GivingTuesday, we continue this critical work.

We’re becoming more and more aware of what’s happening in our community and it’s unfortunately going in a backwards direction. This GivingTuesday, we’re asking our community to dig deep and help each other out — because behind every meal served are families also facing challenges with housing, childcare, transportation, healthcare, mental health, and senior care.
